In fact, I was so passionate about the industry that I wrote a 40-page report on the growing business of pet sitting for a high school work program and won second place at a state competition!
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of caring for a variety of pets. Growing up, my family had Samoyeds and Chow-Chows, along with bunnies, turtles, tortoises, birds, and parrots. Later, when I moved out on my own, I adopted a Beagle named Nikki and an adorable orange-and-white fluffy cat named Cinnamon—my first pet that I picked out myself. Today, my family still cares for Bentley, our African Grey parrot who has been with us since I was about five years old. I also have two Florida Box turtles, Baby and Elizabeth (who has been with me for nearly 39 years!), a Slider turtle, and my son’s Bearded Dragon, Cherry Bomb.
Beyond traditional pets, I also have experience caring for chickens, goats, and other outdoor animals. I’m open to helping with horses as well, as long as I have detailed instructions.
